MATERIALS
I offer four durable material options for collars, leads, training lines and other accessories:
- 🐾 Rubber Webbing – Strong, lightweight & ultra-grippy. Ideal for recall training but will absorb water & smells.
- 💦 PVC – Durable, waterproof & easy to clean. The budget-friendly, no-fuss option, great for muddy adventures. Not as flexible & grippy as Biothane.
- Hexa Webbing – Soft, flexible & a grippy honeycomb texture. Waterproof like PVC but with a feel closer to BioThane®. Great for training leads, though a little trickier to clean.
- 🌟 BioThane® – Like PVC but better: more flexible, higher UV resistance, better grip & higher break strength. The best choice for collars.
If you're after ultimate durability with a softer, more ergonomic feel, BioThane® is the premium choice and my go-to recommendation for collars.
PVC offers the best value in the range of waterproof webbings and is perfect for leads and training lines.
For maximum grip, Hexa webbing and rubber webbing are excellent choices, perfect if you're working on recall training. While they’re not as easy to clean, they’re much less likely to slip if you need to step on a training line.
MATERIAL WIDTHS
PVC and Hexa webbing are only available in a 20mm width.
Rubber webbing is available in 20mm or 15mm widths. The width of the item is always clearly listed in the product description.
Not all rubber webbing products will come in both width options.
Please note that colour availability may vary depending on the width you select.
Biothane® is available in 19mm or 12mm widths. The width of each item is always clearly listed in the product description.
Not all Biothane® products will come in both width options.
Please note that colour availability may vary depending on the width you select.
HARDWARE OPTIONS
🛠️ Choose from: Silver (most durable), black, or rose gold. All the hardware is nickel-plated & will wear with time. The black and rose gold will scratch/wear quicker (particularly on collars).
🐶 For swimmers & adventurers – Plastic clasps are tough & won’t corrode.
💡 Pro tip: Remove collars indoors (especially from dogs that like a good scratch) & clean regularly to extend lifespan!
💪🏼 Unless paired with a carabiner clip (break strength 400kg) the hardware will always be the weakest point on any of my handmade products. The break strength of the clip/buckle is noted on each product listing so that you can make an informed decision.
COLLARS
Buckle vs. Clasp:
- Buckle = Adjustable
- Clasp = Custom-fit (not ideal for puppies or floofy dogs that change size after a groom).
📏 Measuring Tips:
- Best method – Measure a well-fitting collar laid flat. For buckle collars measure from the end of the prong to the hole you are currently using. For side release clasp collars measure from the outer edge of the clasp to where the material wraps around the clasp insert at the other end of the collar.
- Alternative – Use a soft measuring tape around your dog’s neck (+2 fingers for comfort). This may not be as accurate.
- Reminder – Flat collars aren’t ideal for dogs that pull! A harness is recommended for strong pullers (plus some training of course).
- Puppies – Made to measure clasp collars are not suitable for puppies as they are not adjustable. If you are ordering a buckle collar for a puppy I recommend contacting me first so that we can decide the best option to allow for plenty growing room.
LEADS & TRAINING LINES
- Lengths listed are based on demand and practicality, if you need custom sizing, just ask!
- Measurements are taken from the end of the clip to the end of the handle (or furthest point on a drag line).
- Handles are optional for long lines, but if added, we recommend that you don’t let it drag.
- Best attached to a harness for safety!
- All leads come with a loose D ring on the handle.
- Training lines DO NOT come with a D ring.
PRODUCT CARE & DISCLAIMER
- Check for wear & tear regularly – no product is indestructible.
- Don’t let your dog chew their gear – chewed items can’t be replaced.
- I do not recommend machine washing the rubber webbing material.

Colours may vary slightly from photos.
- If you want to see a specific colour combo, just ask.
